There are three members in Muse:
The first is Matthew (Matt) Bellamy. He is the lead guitarist, lead vocals, pianist, and keytarist. He was born June 9, 1978 in England, and is currently 32 years old. When he was six years old, he began to play the piano. After his parents divorced when he was 14, he lived with his grandmother. She pushed Matt to begin playing guitar. He owns and plays a variety of Manson guitars, which he uses frequently at concerts and during practices. Matt often uses falsetto while singing, and can hit very high notes while doing so.
The second member is Dominic (Dom) Howard. He was born December 7, 1977 and is 33 years old. He is the drummer for Muse, along with other percussion and the synthesizers. At the age of 12, Dom first began playing the drums. Before Muse was formed, he and Matt were friends in college. In college, he played drums but later switched to bass. Since then, he is now back on drums. Like Matt, Dom has had many drum sets, even with some being destroyed at various concerts and shows.
The third member of the band is Christopher (Chris) Wolstenholme. He was born December 2, 1978 and is 32 years old. He is the band's bassist, backup vocals, guitarist, harmonica, drums and synthesizers. Before becoming Muse's bassist, Chris played the drums. In college Chris did not play in the same band as Matt and Dom, but later joined after the two could not find a good bassist. As with the other two members, Chris has many basses. One was sold on eBay after being used in the music video for their popular song "Plug In Baby".
